WHO WE ARE
OUR MISSION: Friends of Swayze, Inc. provides the funds and resources to repair, rebuild, and restore the historic Swayze Cemetery in Hope, New Jersey for the benefit of educating the public on the historical significance of the site and to prevent its further deterioration.

REPAIR. REBUILD. RESTORE. HISTORY IN ACTION.

Relatives of the Swayze family and interested historians may come to visit the burying grounds to trace their roots and share ancestry findings. Visitors have come from all parts of the USA and Canada.
​
In addition to ongoing repair and maintenance of the site, our primary mission is to educate the public on the significance of the Swayze influence in the 1700 to 1800's in the rural town of Hope.
